HCR® Diastasis

I am delighted to be able to offer this wonderful, focused system to bring love back for the post baby tummy.

What is Diastasis Recti?

So common to many women post birth, diastasis recti can be described as the stretching, weakening and dysfunction of the front and sides of the abdominal muscles and includes the connective tissues and fascia of these muscles. In media speak, it is the ‘mummy tummy’; the ‘gap’, the ‘dome’ the ‘looking five months pregnant at the end of the day’. IMG_1176

Often women are told many things that they should avoid when seeking advice on their diastasis, however this system is different as it offers positive things that can be done to help and it’s not just about the exercises. A truly holistic approach to this common problem; nutrition, hydration, posture, breathing patterns and alignment are all intrinsic to the successful healing of a diastasis post-birth. This programme is bespoke to the individual client and is very hands on, so is offered as a 1:1 package.

‘It’s amazing that just a little effort each day can achieve such dramatic results so quickly’  Liz

    Hi Kate,
I spotted your site on my friend Jo Paton’s Facebook page. I live in New Zealand so can’t come and see you, but since my 2nd boy (I now have 4) my stomach muscles have been separated. I have done yoga for many years and it has helped alot but never to the point I can sit directly up from lying down (I always have to roll onto my side and then push up with my arms. I would love some advice on what I can do to improve the effectiveness of my stomach muscles. I had my last baby 5 months ago and it is definitely time for me to tackle the problem as I have constant back pain and unfortunately the physio at Wellington Hospital can only advise that I use strapping tape to pull the muscles together. Are you able to do online consultations?
    many thanks
    Tash
